DominoPower Magazine - July 2009 For those falling into the second camp, IBM's announcement last month that it'll no longer be upgrading DAMO is somewhat disturbing. DAMO stands for Domino Access for Microsoft Outlook and was one of Lotus' particularly interesting efforts to create interop between the Microsoft camps and the Lotus camps.

Have you secretly wanted to try Microsoft Outlook 2002 but your mail lives on a Domino server? Well wonder no more. Integrating Domino with Office 2000 via XML DominoPower Magazine - February 2000 Once again, Contributing Editor Jeffrey R. Burrows is back with an exceptionally useful and detailed must-read article. Back in October 1998, he introduced the concept of integrating Excel 97 with Domino via XML. Since then, Office 2000 has burst onto the scene, with much greater XML integration. In this article, Burrows explains how you can use Domino to generate "native" Office documents from Notes and Domino by taking advantage of Office 2000's deeper connection to XML. This is one of those articles that makes us proud to be publishers. Read it and reap.
How to query Domino from within Excel DominoPower Magazine - January 1999 Once again, Jeffrey Burrows demonstrates new ways to integrate Excel and Domino. In this excellent article, Jeff shows how to create a query within Excel that goes out over the net, grabs information from a Domino database, and places that information directly into an Excel spreadsheet. If you had to hire a consultant to figure out how to do this, it might have cost you months of consulting fees -- and it's presented to you here in DominoPower for completely, absolutely free.
Publishing PowerPoint presentations for Notes and Web clients DominoPower Magazine - December 1998 Dan Velasco had a problem common to many Domino and Notes administrators: how do you make a PowerPoint presentation available to Notes clients and Web browsers at the same time? If you've ever wondered this, read Dan's article. It'll outline the entire solution.
Linking Domino to Excel via XML DominoPower Magazine - October 1998 Sometimes, it's tough figuring out which article is the Top Dog, the Big Kahuna, the Godzilla of articles. Which article will win the coveted prize of being the DominoPower Spotlight, to be featured on DominoPower's cover? This time, there was no question. All our articles are exceptional. But this article, by new author Jeffrey R. Burrows, is the best of the best. It's useful, it's timely, and it's hot. In his article Jeffrey links two important applications, Domino and Excel, using the hottest new technology on the Net: XML. This is the one they'll be discussing around the water cooler tomorrow.
