FROM THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
DominoPower to you!
By David Gewirtz

The premier issue of DominoPower has been out for about three weeks. We're pretty thrilled with the results. We've had loads of incredibly encouraging comments from readers. One of our favorite letters was sent to us by Frank Cseh. You may recall that he's the operator of Frank Cseh's Lotus Notes Site (at http://www.best.com/~cseh/ ), which was awarded DominoPower Site of the Month for January. Frank wrote us:

Thank You very much for the nice words you wrote about my web site. DominoPower Magazine seems to me a very powerful and success-oriented publication. I saw many good sounding Notes relates sites in the last three years, but this one is a real hit.

Your article resulted 1,000 extra hits on my web site in the first two days. I usually get about 100 hits/day. And I'm still getting over hits per day. That means that your publication is really enjoyed by Lotus Notes users. This Magazine has a chance to be the first successful runner online!

Please pass this information to the DominoPower Magazine's editors.

We're thrilled to be able to reach and help Lotus Notes and Domino users worldwide. It's very cool to get encouraging notes like this one.

"We may actually be the leading Notes and Domino-related publication (in terms of numbers of readers)."

We think we've got our own nice niche. We're online and dedicated to providing up-to-the-minute Notes and Domino information. You can get the latest news daily in the DominoPower News Center. Plus, you can get a new tip every week by subscribing to our DominoPower tip service. Of course, the meat of the publication are our articles -- packed each and every month with hard-core information you can use immediately -- like last month's "The top nine things to do to get ready for Domino 5.0" and this month's "How I learned to stop worrying and love the SMTP MTA".

Last month (our premiere issue), we hit some amazing records. We're already feeding nearly half a million pages on DominoPower alone. While that's a little less than half the traffic of sister-publication PalmPower Magazine, it's truly amazing when you consider that the PalmPilot is a consumer device and Notes and Domino are serious, corporate products that presumably have far less distribution. The fact that we're reaching so many Notes and Domino developers and administrators is nothing short of astounding.
