How I learned to stop worrying and love the SMTP MTA (continued)

More of a problem are the multimedia-based mail messages I've mentioned. I'm no lawyer, but I doubt that these technically are considered spam/UCE as they are frequently requested and forwarded by users, not by someone sending or relaying spam. Educate your users about requesting and forwarding these types of messages. You might also be able to implement company policy that forbids this type of mail traffic.

Hopefully this article will give some of you the ability to stop relays and protect your systems.
