Looking forward to Lotusphere 2000

Welcome to the maiden voyage of @DbColumn, a new monthly column that will focus on one specific Domino-related topic every month and provide links to useful and interesting resources, as well as comments about those links. The purpose of this column isn't to give you definitive how-to information about a single subject or to be the final authority on a topic. The purpose is to provide you with a set of related links and comments that might lead you to a key piece of information or insight that you might not have come across otherwise. The secondary purpose is just to provide you with some fun links as well.
The logical topic for this month's column for me was Lotusphere 2000. If you were among the people lucky enough to reserve a space at this January's conference, you're probably already looking forward to it with palpable anticipation. Or you're just thinking about all of the free beer you're going to drink at the parties. Either way, here is a set of some of my favorite Lotusphere and Disney World related links.
Lotusphere '99 -- The Party Report
Yes, I admit it, my first link in my first column is going to be right back to a previous DominoPower article. If you think I'm just trying to suck up to my editors, wait 'til you read the report from this past January's Lotusphere at http://www.dominopower.com/issues/issue199902/partyreport001.html. It details the, ahem, interesting experience of some of the DominoPower staff and alludes to some wild acts, but never gives any specifics. Can we get some Sodium Pentathol in here please?
Anyway, the article has a picture of a dinner with the staff and writers of DominoPower, in which I make a small semi-blurry appearance. But I did not get into a hot tub with these people. I repeat, I did not get into a hot tub with these people.
And if you want more "truth" about the behaviors of our illustrious editors, you should definitely read the PowerBoard links located here.
[I've already told my editorial staff they are NOT going to Lotusphere this year (they probably won't listen, but that's what I told them). After the reports I got back from last year, I am not willing to let them loose them in Orlando for a return visit. And for all you Lotusphere attendees and especially you DominoPower authors looking to score a fiance (true story) from among the DominoPower editorial staff, hands-off. Let's put it this way, you just can't beat a Web page with a picture of a cow on it and a counter that counts down the days, hours and minutes and even seconds until Lotusphere 2000. The best people to ask for advice about how to make the most of Lotusphere are those who are multi-year Lotusphere veterans. Since I only have two years of experience myself, I will defer to the expertise of somebody who has five years of experience.
