Looking forward to Lotusphere 2000 (continued)
Intercot: A Virtual Guide to Walt Disney World This is a great overall site that features some good, specific information about both Disney World theme parks and resorts. It also has some RealAudio and RealVideo clips for the multimedia-minded among you. I particularly liked the information about some of the resorts, such as that for Dixie Landings. There's definitely lots to explore at http://www.intercot.com/.
The Unofficial Guide to Disney World OK, so you're planning on taking a few vacation days either before or after the conference to make the most of your paid plane ticket to the happiest place on earth. If you're really serious about getting the most out of your experience, may I suggest this book? It gives practical, specific and usable advice on how to make the most of your trip to Disney World. What makes this book really great is the fact that the editors incorporate reader feedback to provide helpful tips on avoiding problems and making the most of your time and money. You can find it on Amazon.com's site at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0028630394/o/qid=939320879/sr=2-1/002-1508970-5758426.
Native Tongue For those of you that have a long ride to get to Lotusphere, what better way to pass the time than with a trashy paperback. A good trashy paperback. A good trashy paperback about a fictional theme park that's a competitor to Disney World: The Amazing Kingdom of Thrills. An ex-mob informant with an obscene tattoo of certain Disney characters runs this imaginary theme park. If you want to know which Disney characters, you're just going to have to read the book. This is the kind of book I wish I could forget, just so I could read it and enjoy all over again. Look for it on Amazon.com's Web site at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0449221180/o/qid=939320827/sr=2-1/002-1508970-5758426.
