The list of Domino portal sites I've pulled together here is really a continuation of the list I published in November's column (see http://www.dominopower.com/issues/issue199911/dbcolumn1199001.html). In recent months, I've been continually amazed at the amount and quality of Domino-related information that's out there. And it seems to be growing exponentially by the month. What I've put together for you here is a list of Domino portal sites -- sites that are a great place to start if you want to jump into a lot of Domino-related information.

I do want to extend my apologies to these fine sites for my omission of them on the first list. Please just consider this an extension of last month's list. And for any site you think I might have overlooked, just drop me a line at dan.velasco@adecco.com and I'll research it for possible inclusion in a future @DbColumn article.

AdvisorZone
The first site I want to tell you about is the AdvisorZone. You can check this one out at http://www.advisor.com/whome.nsf/w/ZLND. For you link-happy people who just love tons of text and links, this is the site for you. It comes from Advisor Media, the publishers of the venerable Lotus Notes & Domino Advisor magazine.

There is an absolute ton of information available here, but you might have to wade through a lot of text in order to find something you're looking for. In fact, the main drawback of this site is in finding what you need. There is no real way to do a search to help narrow down the information to exactly what you want, as you can see from the home page in Figure A. What I would suggest, therefore, is that if you're looking for something specific that might be on this site, just go to SearchDomino.com and search from there.

Advisor is starting to publish a lot more articles and tips online for free public consumption, and there is a plethora of product reviews and information as well. There's also the obligatory News section that most Domino portal sites seem to have. In fact, it's almost as if there is too much information on this site, because when you visit you just feel overwhelmed by a big wall of text. I hope they simplify the interface in the future so that it's both visually appealing and easy to find exactly the information you're looking for, but this is definitely a great resource for Domino-related information.
