Excuse me while I kiss the sky… I was asking a new co-worker, not too long ago, what kind of college degree he thought I must have. He thought for a minute and guessed that my degree must be in something computer related. This pleased me to no end, and the reason is because of my dirty little secret: I have a B.A. in English. No, I wouldn't say that it is just my certification that has helped me to overcome the stigma of the liberal arts. But, rather, it has been a combination of the process of pursuing certifications, including plenty of in-person training, and constant reading and practice, that has made all the difference and has enabled me to get to this point in my career. And in the future? Well, the sky's the limit!
