Conclusion
One of the supreme powers of Lotus Notes/Domino is the ability for regular end-users to create and maintain content. Make sure that your applications allow your end-users to do this without having to have a Lotus Designer client and license. I think that you'll find that with a little extra planning and work up-front you can prevent a whole lot of extra work in the future.
