DOMINOPOWER SITE OF THE MONTH
Domino-designed interactive dining guide

From Spago's in Los Angeles to a 7-Eleven deli in Trenton, NJ, you'll find the dining experience you desire if you read the August DominoPower Site of the Month. The site is called PlanetDinner.Com, and it's at http://www.planetdinner.com. The site's homepage is pictured in Figure A.

The site provides an interactive dining guide listing over 500,000 restaurants in the United States. Visitors to the site are invited to write their own reviews of any restaurant in PlanetDinner.Com's directory.
Because the site is relatively new, having debuted on June 28, 2000, there aren't many reviews to read at the moment. However, as more people find the site, the review pool is sure to grow.
PlanetDinner.Com was designed by Camelback Web Systems using Domino. Besides the search engine, which searches for restaurants by cuisine, city, zip code, and menu, the site offers a Web site hosting and online marketing service for restaurants.
Restaurant owners can sign up to create their own Web sites automatically. They can then manage their sites from a browser using forms, file uploads, etc. Restaurants that already have sites can also become members of PlanetDinner.Com and have their links added to the search engine directory.
PlanetDinner.Com represents yet another great example of Domino in action. But, if you check it out, be sure to leave a tip.
