Light at the end of the carpal tunnel (continued)

  • The ability to wirelessly and automatically synchronize my handheld computer with all of my vital information on the server. I don't even want to have to press a button or try to establish a connection; I just want the information to be there when and where I want it;

  • The ability to input content into a Notes and Domino application using a pen computer to write on the screen and either mark-up documents or have my handwriting converted to text.

Looking forward to the future
I haven't felt any hand or wrist pain in almost two months, which I credit to the fact that I've made a concerted effort to reduce the amount of stress I experience every day. I know that I'm not out of the woods yet, but I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm also very aware now of products and techniques that not only can save me time, but also that can reduce both mental and physical stress. I'm also looking forward to all of the future technologies that are going to significantly change the way that we all work and play on a daily basis. I bet we'll just take them for granted once we have them. It's remarkable to think, for instance, that someday we're going to look back on Notes R5 like people today look back on Notes R1. Sure, it gets the job done today, but who knows what the future will have in store?
