SITE OF THE MONTH
Get your free code tips at CodeStore
By Steve Niles
April's DominoPower Site of the Month is a repository of code snippets and tips aimed at experienced Domino developers, though as the site's creator, Jake Howlett states on the homepage, "there is useful stuff to be found for everybody." The site is called CodeStore, and you can find it at http://www.codestore.net. It's pictured in Figure A.

Despite what the name implies, this is not an e-commerce site. In fact, all the code is available completely for free. There aren't even any advertisements!
The name comes from the fact that Howlett started CodeStore as a place to store bits of code on his hard drive. Eventually, he gave access to his colleagues both in and out of the office. As usually happens, one thing led to another until he had, at last, made it accessible to the world via the Internet. Howlett says that, in a way, this site is, "payback for all those generous members of the Notes community" who shared with him when he was a novice.
The look of the reflects Howlett's ideals of what a site should be, "simple and functional." At the moment, it's an R5 application hosted by Prominic.net (at http://www.prominic.com), and it's made of a mix of HTML, JavaScript, Java, and @Formulas.
The popularity of CodeStore is growing. Howlett reports that as of February 2001 CodeStore has received nearly two million "hits." You owe it to yourself to get in on the fun. Check out CodeStore at http://www.codestore.net.

If so, your site may be eligible for consideration as the DominoPower Site of the Month. If chosen, you'll even be entitled to display the fantabulous banner shown in Figure B.
