Advanced techniques in fractal semantic indexing can permit knowledge management servers to automatically reach beyond the current semantic horizon, out into two, three, and more levels of semantic indirection, leveraging inductive semantic association influences on direct multidimensional relationships that are intuitively evident upon initial viewing.
Automating churn to sustain knowledge repository usage Information churn automation can also be facilitated by reducing document text into knowledge context signatures through the process of fractal semantic normalization. Since users write documents to apply their knowledge to business projects, automatic document signature extractions can be aggregated along common context threads, called knowledge threads. And knowledge threads can be classified into profiles that track meaningful representations like user knowledge profiles where user-authored document collections are targeted.
Similarly, document readership patterns can be aggregated into interest profiles. And knowledge and interest profiles can be combined to provide user collaboration profiles reflecting corporate collaborative knowledge sharing and learning patterns. These patterns can be associated with key performance indicators to reflect ROK (Return On Knowledge). And by indexing profiles in the knowledge base as meta-data, the knowledge base can become self-describing and self-propagating, thereby further facilitating the information churn necessary to influence sustainable usage.
Through common context, knowledge sharing collaborative patterns can be associated with business transactions for productive impact, thereby reflecting collaborative competency through production of results for the corporation. By managing the ability of corporate users and user groups to productively collaborate through knowledge-enabled business processes and applications, key business functions like project team assembly and knowledge building can improve business performance, leveraging corporate expertise to enhance corporate IQ.
Summary Corporate IQ represents the ability of corporations to capture, build, and share knowledge collaboratively for business value on a timely basis. Through knowledge management software that automates learning productivity as well as content management, sustainable value from knowledge repositories and portals can be measured through key performance indicators like ROK. And knowledge management applications can reach the next plateau in helping businesses compete and win on a sustainable basis in a competitive global marketplace.
