Tips
Like DominoPower, searchDomino also provides tips to its subscribers. Chutchian describes it this way:

We receive hundreds of tips per month from administrators and developers. The tips are posted in our tips sections (Admin and Developer), and we have a contest each month for the best tip. Winners receive a prize, are entered into our Hall of Fame, and also get rights to the special Dog Pound forum. Only high-end tip submitters get to be in the Dog Pound forum. Tips are also emailed to over 100,000 subscribers once per week. The best tips are "feature email tips." Those who submit frequently, and submit valuable tips, get more exposure. Visit http://searchdomino.techtarget.com/tips/0,289484,sid4_tax283819,00.html or http://searchdomino.techtarget.com/tips/0,289484,sid4_tax283833,00.html. Submit exclusive tips for publication, and they could be emailed to our subscribers.

Domino Hive
Domino Hive (at http://www.dominohive.com) has a different approach to sharing expertise; they have technical experts who work one-on-one with other members. This might be a great idea for someone who wants to network, or for someone who wants to start small in the author arena. "Ask the Experts" is a service connecting members of the Notes and Domino community with one another on a more personal basis. Here's how it works:

  • An individual composes a question, classifies it under a specific technical category, and submits it to the experts;

  • The question is then routed to the registered experts for that technical category via email.

It's a great way to connect those who have questions with those who have answers, and it's a wonderful opportunity to go one-on-one with fellow Notes enthusiasts who share the same interests as you.

To sign up as a registered expert, you must:

  • Be registered on DominoHive.com;

  • Complete an organization profile in the Buyer's Guide;

  • Select the Technical Category(s) at the bottom of the organization profile in which you wish to be a registered expert.

Notesnet.com
Notesnet.com is an excellent source of information for the Notes community. Notesnet.com is what I would describe as an "up and coming" Notes Web site. The site has only been live for a matter of months and has already won the DominoPower site of the month award, (June 2001). If you have not had the opportunity to check it out, you should. Visit http://www.notesnet.com.

Notesnet.com is currently looking for forum leaders, articles, and product reviews. They will be providing incentives and rewards for the best/most relevant posts in their forums; further information will be forthcoming in their newsletter (site registration is required). They guarantee exposure and all of the credit for any worthwhile content. Writing is subject to editing, and they contact all authors before publishing their work. For more information or to submit content, write to editor@notesnet.com.
