Winds of change are blowing at IBM developerWorks Live! (continued)

Conclusion
The bottom line is that this was probably one of the most valuable events I've attended, not so much for any how-to sessions I attended or in-depth product information presented, but rather because it helped to open my mind to the wider world of Web application development and all of IBM's offerings. I like this event because, like Lotusphere, it helps you to keep your pulse on the industry. And Lotus' pulse is still beating, although it's now an integral part of IBM's body.

As overwhelming as all of this is to absorb, comprehend, and respond to, it's also exciting at the same time. I feel like I have whole new worlds to conquer, and I now have the confidence and skills that I've acquired over the past few years through Domino development to help me to adapt and change even more rapidly than I ever could before.

Will I give up Domino development anytime soon? I don't think so, but the amount of Domino development I do will be reduced or refocused in order to work with other products and technologies as well. Have you felt the winds of change recently and responded to them as well? If so, I'd love to hear about it. You can reach me at dvelasco@dominopower.com.
