DOMINOPOWER SITE OF THE MONTH
Trading HealthSpaces
By Steve Niles

July's DominoPower Site of the Month award belongs to HealthSpace Integrated Solutions Ltd. at http://www.healthspace.ca. It's pictured in Figure A.

FIGURE A

The HealthSpace Web site was created using Lotus Domino. Roll over picture for a larger image.

HealthSpace was formed in order to address the data management and communication needs of Environmental Health Units. Towards those ends, the company develops public health Web sites using Domino. Information published to the Web sites includes health alerts, news, food facilities and restaurant ratings, drinking water boil advisories, beach closures, recent sewage permits, and more.

Some of their clients include the Fraser Health Authority (at http://www.healthspace.ca/fvhr) and the Vancouver Island Health Authority (at http://www.healthspace.ca/viha). HealthSpace is currently in the process of developing more Web sites, including some for entire U.S. states.

Their management team includes John Halstad, who has 25 years of environmental health experience as inspector, supervisor, and manager, and Andrew Price, with 12 years industry experience, 5 of those years developing Lotus Notes applications.

Creating Domino-based Web sites for these important organizations is a cool service. Check out http://www.healthspace.ca to learn more about how they do it.
