ReplixFax Version 6 Softlinx, Inc. (at http://www.softlinx.com) has already announced the availability of Version 6 of ReplixFAX for Domino. ReplixFAX for Domino is designed to provide Internet/intranet fax messaging capabilities that interoperate with any application over the corporate network. It allows outbound faxes to be sent directly from the Notes mail client, as well as faxed directly from backend applications. Inbound faxes, meanwhile, can be received, viewed, and managed right in your Notes mail file.
Version 6 of ReplixFAX for Domino is fully compatible with IBM Lotus Domino 6 server and IBM Lotus Notes 6 client and promises to offer the ND6 look-and-feel.
Softlinx, Inc. also announced the release of Replix SDK for Java for the ReplixFAX for Domino product. The Replix SDK for Java is designed to provide the classes and interfaces you need so that your enterprise Java applications can be programmed to include the ability to send and receive fax communications with the ReplixFAX messaging servers. The Replix SDK for Java is certified to support JVM Versions 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. The Replix SDK for Java toolkit also includes HTML-based product documentation and code samples.
Hikyu Lee, CEO of Softlinx, says that by developing a Java SDK for their product, they're supporting Lotus' strategy of embracing the J2EE model. "Many of our clients develop within the J2EE platform," Lee says. "They will benefit from our Java SDK and its flexibility to seamlessly automate document routing to their fax destinations from within their business applications."
ReplixFAX for Domino is available for Windows and Linux platforms. ReplixFAX for Domino with the Replix JAVA API toolkit bundle is currently available for prices starting at $5,795. More information is available at http://www.softlinx.com.
AtomicDispatch and AtomicEMT version 4.0 eXivity (at http://www.exivity.com) announced the release of version 4.0 of its two storage products, AtomicDispatch and AtomicEMT. Version 4.0 of the eXivity products has been updated to assure full compatibility with IBM Lotus Domino 6 server and IBM Lotus Notes 6 client.
AtomicDispatch is designed to maintain mail stores at an economical level. AtomicEMT, meanwhile, promises to return 30-50 percent of a corporation's email disk storage by creating a single store of the email content of legacy emails.
AtomicDispatch and AtomicEMT V4.0 are based on a tiered architecture. AtomicDispatch and AtomicEMT--the first tier--run on the Domino server, determining the opportunities for mail storage optimization. The original email is stored in the storage tier--the AtomicICE databases--and a link is inserted into the email document. AtomicClient--the client tier--re-creates the email with the attachments in place in local replicas. The products support the Notes client email, Web mail, and iNotes, and have been designed to be transparent to the email community. Administration of the software is performed with a Notes-based interface, and it doesn't require any changes to the standard Lotus templates.
