Malta has been an independent country and an active democracy since gaining its independence from Britain in 1964, and it should be joining the European Community (EU) in May 2004. The country is very active economically and has a high standard of living. While 25% of the economy is based on tourism, they have active sectors like high tech industries (microchips, etc.), financial services, and a maritime industry." Shireburn's company is in the tech industry.

About Shireburn
Shireburn Software has been a distributor for Lotus Development in Malta for 12 years. Notes development accounts for around 40% of their business, the rest being made up by other software development and IT related services. While the company has managed various international projects, Integra for Notes is their first major international breakthrough. Shireburn's clients now include names like Toshiba, the FAA in Washington, BAT, the Australian Government, Verizon, the U.S. Olympic Committee, Reuters, the NBA, the cities of Orlando and Montreal, Novartis, Bayer, and more.

On January 31, 2003 Shireburn Software announced the availability of the latest version of Integra for Notes, version 3.0. This Web browser enabled version is not only a reporting tool for the Lotus Notes environment, but also it allows for the exporting and importing of data to Word and Excel using a Notes client, Web browser, and scheduled operations. Integra is an independent Notes database designed to improve capabilities for data analysis, printing, charting, reporting, and mail merge without any design changes to your databases. It uses Notes formula language and event-driven Lotuscript.

The new features in Integra for Notes 3.0 include:

  • Browser support: run Integra export profiles through a Web browser in addition to the Lotus Notes client or scheduled profiles;

  • Enhanced mail features: improvements in email automation of exported documents including using your own mail file;

  • Easier ODBC access: access non-Notes databases through ODBC using a new in-built ODBC Script Library reducing your advanced coding;

  • In-place editing: allows you to edit, print, and preview exported Word or Excel documents in-place when stored in a Notes document even in Notes R5;

  • Field exchange: update data in fields on the Notes document from the exported Word or Excel document via Notes' Field Exchange capabilities;

  • Easier management of scheduled profiles: new facilities to enable and disable scheduled profiles and for improved profile testing.

Full details of the new features available in Integra for Notes 3.0 can be found at http://www.integra4notes.com/version3.
