P3: The power of productivity cubed (continued)

P3: the power of productivity cubed
People, processes, products. These are the three "P"s, in their proper sequence. We talk about "growing" your IT capability because we look at building your IT capacity as an organic process. We believe in taking positive, incremental steps, each building on the one that came before it.

People issues come first: leadership, motivation, team-building, education, training, organization, culture, rewards--each of these areas, and more, needs to be attended to like the plants in your garden. Adding efficient, institutionalized practices and procedures builds on the accomplishments in the people area, and finally, deploying the appropriate products to automate your institutionalized methods further enhances the yield from your investment. It's not a silver bullet, and it's not something that can be created overnight, but it is definitely a way to intentionally and consistently drive to improve your IT capability higher and higher as each day goes by.
