What's new in the review queue
By Steve Niles

Here at DominoPower, we're always getting new products to review. I thought I'd take some time here to tell you about what we have in the queue right now. And if you'd be interested in writing a review of any of the software you see below for publication in DominoPower, just visit http://www.authorpower.com/stories/storyReader$6 to sign up.

INTEGRATE!People
INTEGRATE!People allows the central administration of general Desktop Settings (e.g., show/hide servernames and unread marks, stack/unstack replicas), to Create, Move, Clear, Delete, Rename, and Recolor workspace pages and to Create, Move, and Delete database icons by exact x and y position (taking replica stacks, existing icons, and more into account). Desktops can be viewed before and after synchronization remotely by using a Web browser. More information is available at http://www.icodex.com/people.

Workflow Manager
Workflow Manager is billed as a low cost alternative to Domino Workflow, and it's being pitched at companies that need Workflow solutions but don't want to pay the expense of Domino Workflow. There is an evaluation copy and Web demonstration available at http://www.ionet.co.nz/workflow. If you were interested in looking at this solution for a review in DominoPower, it might make an interesting comparison article by stacking it up against Domino Workflow.

Ecora Patch Manager
Ecora Patch Manager (at http://www.ecora.com/ecora/products/patchmanager/default.asp) is a solution for enterprise patch analysis and remediation. Ecora Patch Manager automatically discovers, analyzes, and deploys security patches critical to workstations and servers right from an administrator's desktop and offers patch coverage for Microsoft products, including Windows NT/2000/XP, Internet Explorer, Exchange, IIS, Media Player, Office, Outlook, and SQL Sever. Cross-platform support (starting with Unix and Novell) is due later this year.

Configuration Auditor 3.0
Ecora Software also puts out Ecora Auditor 3.0 (at http://www.ecora.com/ecora/products/auditor.asp), a configuration management solution. It's designed to provide a consolidated configuration database and reporting options. Ecora Auditor collects configuration data from Windows, Unix, Linux, NetWare, Cisco, MS-SQL Server, Exchange, IIS, Active Directory, Citrix, Oracle, and Lotus Domino platforms into an MSDE database, creating a cross-platform configuration repository. This data can be used for auditing, reporting, disaster recovery, change identification and tracking, etc.
