Don't forget: you'll want to enter your email server here. Mine won't do you any good at all.
Click Next to move on, and you'll see the screen shown in Figure F.

At this point, it's time to enter your incoming email account and password information. This is the actual email account you use. So, for example, if your email account is joemakemefunky@bigolserverinthesky.com, you're email account is actually "joemakemefunky". Mine is "dgnotes," but you'll type in your account here. Also enter your password and confirm with re-entering the same password.
Clicking next brings you to the outgoing email server selection screen, shown in Figure G.

Enter the name of your outgoing SMTP (Simple Mail Transport Protocol) server, and click Next.
Now, it's time to put it all together, and specify your Internet email address and domain. Using our fun example above, you'll enter "joemakemefunky@bigolserverinthesky.com" in the E-mail Address field, and "bigolserverinthesky.com" in the Internet Domain field. Once again, please don't use my email address, shown in Figure H.

If everything is done correctly, when you click Next, you'll be rewarded with the screen shown in Figure I.

You did it! You really did it!
Running your email client
After all this, I like to restart the client. But you don't have to. In any case, you're likely to see the screen shown in Figure J.

Check the box, and click Yes.
If you're planning on using Notes as your primary client (and that's why you're reading this article, right?), check the box, and click Yes.
Finally, sit back and enjoy. You'll see your inbox, like that shown in Figure K.
