You (or the article's author) might also be interested in taking a look at the OpenLog project on the OpenNTF site (at http://www.openntf.org/Projects/pmt.nsf/ProjectHome?ReadForm&Query=OpenLog)

It's been using lsi_info for error logging for a long time now, and it can provide a well-tested alternative to "standard" Notes error logging like using NotesLog or creating custom routines per database.

All you have to do is create the OpenLog database on your server, copy its script libraries to your databases, include the libraries in your LotusScript (or Java) code, and call "LogError" in each error handling block.
