Integrating AJAX and RSS into Domino applications (continued)
David: What challenges did you face in integrating these technologies into your products?
Marek: Absolutely none! Yeah, right, when did that ever occur?
One major reason why we use these technologies is their simplicity and straightforward nature. The results are productive and flexible. I can't say that there were many huge challenges. Perhaps authentication would be a note and the fact that in developing applications sometimes you need to take several runs at a problem to discover which is best. Alas, Domino is really a great development platform on many fronts and it affords us a lot of flexibility in creating solutions.
Scott and Marek have a lot more fascinating information to share. Next week, we'll talk about UI design and how to make a Domino-based application feel like a Windows desktop app.
