Daylight Savings Time changes and Lotus products (continued)

Daylight Saving Time 2007 changes for Notes/Domino involving Java
IBM has released a technote detailing the impact of the Daylight Savings Time changes on Java code running on Domino servers.

IBM is also suggesting that all Sametime servers (which use Domino) be updated for the Java timezone patch. Note that this technote relates to Java only.

Daylight Savings Time issues for Microsoft products
OutlookPower contributing editor Bill Mann has also been following the Daylight Savings Time issue, this time on the Microsoft side. We ran an overview article, "Changes to Daylight Savings Time could cause computer snafus", in DominoPower's sister magazine, OutlookPower, which covers these concerns and what you can do about it.

Special thanks to Howard
Once again, special thanks to Howard for researching and letting us run this information. Be sure to visit the TLCC Web site and buy some of his great training products.

We'll be back with more Lotusphere and R8 coverage next week.
