The rest of the story
As of Tuesday night, the plaintiffs have responded to the White House's response. They've marched out their own IT guy, a gentleman with the unfortunately Middle Eastern-sounding name of Al Lakhani and are counter-claiming the White House. This is a disturbing story because at the end of the day, as an IT guy myself, the "why" question keeps coming up. There are practices I'm seeing that none of us, if we want to keep our day jobs, would be allowed to do, even in small IT shops.

I don't like asking "Why?" I'd rather this just about the tech. But there's so many little bits and pieces about the White House IT operation that, quite honestly, don't add up right. So you gotta ask "Why?"
