Mainsoft Previews Lotus Notes Integration with Sharepoint 2010
Mainsoft Corporation announced a preview of Mainsoft SharePoint Integrator for Lotus Notes version 2.5. The new version is expected to be available in the first half of 2010 to deliver the same document collaboration experience for Lotus Notes and Outlook users.

IBM bakes Lotus Notes for Android
Lotus Notes Traveler has already been ported to the iPhone and BlackBerry and will soon be available for Android-based phones. Even the server software for Notes Traveler will soon be available for Linux.

Notes and Timezones
Chris Harris is having some problems with timezones in Notes. The documents need to reflect the correct time at the home office, regardless of who, or where, in the world opens them.

SnTT: Starting the Domino 8.5 Console - Notes.INI Setting

Speeding up a Domino server on Linux, by changing a horrible default Linux setting...
Jesper Kiaer discovered that Linux file systems have a default setting, atime, that records the last time a file is read, which can slow down a Domino server. Jesper shows you how to change the setting.

Diagnostic NOTES.INI settings for dbdirman can cause DAOS to delete attachments prematurely
Kenio Carvalho says some Notes.ini settings used for debugging can cause Domino 8.5.0 to miscount DAOS references during resync. There is a fix available.

Converting my Sametime plug-ins to 8.5.1
Simon O'Doherty wrote a number of plug-ins for Sametime 7.5.1 and, now that he's upgraded to 8.5.1, he needs them to work. But. Sametime doesn't seem to like the URLs being generated. Simon's wondering if anyone can point out something he's not seeing.

BES 5.0 "Filed Messages" Bug
If you're running BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 for Lotus Domino, Dennis Ruddigkeit says a new bug has been reported that moves foldered messages back to the Inbox.

Ran into a really oddball bug while working on a 7.03 Domino web app
Andrew Pollack's web application uses Forms and Subforms with embedded Views and has a picklist that's supposed to update when information is changed. However, it seems the Subforms needed some extra attention before they'd update.

SnTT - Running Compact on a Notes Client

IBM Lotus Notes Designer 8.5.1 Installation Issues Update
Gavin Bollard had some problems installing the Notes 8.5.1 client though 8.5 seemed to work fine. He finally made two changes to his preferences and everything worked. He's posted the "fix" just in case you need it.

Automatic Recompilation - a great idea in theory but not in practice
Tim Tripcony has enjoyed working with the 8.5.1 Designer client but, when he was working with LotusScript, it produced a save conflict on every-other save. He found a new user preference that seemed to be causing the problem.
